Holy God, Sovereign, Faithful, Righteous and True
I pray every day that I may be reduced
Death to the flesh, alive in You
This is hard to do
So much temptation blurs my view
Whatever it takes, this is what I chose
Be the gardener of my heart, weeds, and thorns remove
Drink from Your cup, Blood of Jesus righteous juices
My soul’s affection and bruised
Healed by Christ Jesus, stripes, and wounds
Don’t want to go back into the devil’s pool
Let me walk in your victorious shoes
So that I won’t slip into the devil’s glue
Like a plug to a socket, connected to You
So I won’t go down into death and meet my doom
Everywhere I go, Your light that gives life produces
Giving birth to everlasting Spiritual fruit
Fire of Your Holiness consumed
“To live as Christ and to die is gain”
This is my life’s pursuit
This is a prayer that I wrote to God. With the conviction that I knew that I need more of Him.
Hope you can make the same prayer.
John 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[a] and life.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
John 15 The Vine and the Branches “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me (Jesus)
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me (Jesus) you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
Isaiah 53:5 But (Jesus) he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
God Bless All.
